This class was developed and designed for homicide detectives and supervisors to ensure they are up to date with the latest strategies and techniques that merge evolving technologies with the best investigative practices to ensure a thorough and comprehensive investigation for the optimum case results.
Day One:
Investigative Strategy and Practices (8-5): The latest evidence-based investigative techniques within the context of self-solvers and whodunit homicide cases. Participates will be provided with the latest investigative skill sets with practical application from actual case studies.

Day Two:
Managing the homicide investigation (8-12): An overview of the concepts and processes required in a command position regarding the management of homicide case investigation and progression. Dynamic structures and protocols are outlined and discussed.

Criminal behavior analysis (1 to 3): Latest trends in criminal behavioral science and profiling available to be used in murder investigations.

Cold case investigations (3-5): Fundamental strategies regarding the evolution of an unsolved homicide case. Resources and protocols are provided to increase the opportunities for optimum results.
